MCJROTC Leadership Camp

​Leadership Camp Information 

Leadership Camp is a student-lead, activity and learning based camp held at Daniel Boone High School (DBHS). The cadets of the MCJROTC program welcome rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders interested in joining the ROTC program and attending Daniel Boone High School. Our goal is to recruit rising Freshman into our school and ROTC program while also promoting an understanding of the benefits of the MCJROTC program by bringing awareness to our community. The Leadership Camp will be run by members of the ROTC program and overseen by their Marine Instructors; Major Steven Sessis and Master Gunnery Sergeant John Daniels. Cadets will perform a range of activities under their tutelage including: Orienteering, Team Games, Drill Basics, Basic Marksmanship Safety and Application, PFT (Physical Fitness Test), and Team Sports. 
Leadership Camp will take place four weeks before the start of term July 11-15, 2022. 
Only the first 75 students may enroll. 

Total Costs for Registration: 

$100 per student enrolled

(Checks are made out to Daniel Boone High School MCJORTC Program/ Cash can be given directly to Master Gunnery Sergeant Daniels)
Cost Break Down:
Shirt: $15 per student
MRE x 2: $28 per student
Flight Operations: $15 per student
Marksmanship Materials: $7 per student
Bus Transportation: $10
Administrative Supplies: $10
Meal Cost: $15 per student ​

Transportation: 

Transportation will be provided to and from the various locations we visit throughout the week. 
Transportation to and from the school is under the responsibility of the parent or guardian. 

Registration: 

Registration and all paper work is due July 1st, 2022. 
Hold-Harmless Agreements will be included in the registration packet. 

Meal Plan: 

Each student will be given meals during our lunch and provided water/drinks when needed. Students are encouraged to pack their own meals or bring their own snacks and water bottles.
